13 I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of The LORD
in the land of the living!
14 Wait for The LORD;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for The LORD! – Psalm 27:13-14
Jesus is The Goodness of The LORD in the land of the living. By The Holy Spirit, we look upon Him, and see, with eyes of faith, His Beauty and His Sufficiency in the midst of our sadness and our grief. Jesus is The Strength of God’s children. His Grace is sufficient for us. And His Power is made perfect in our weaknesses (2 Corinthians 12). When God helps us, and when we help each other, to actively trust together that we are united with Him, that He is with us always, even to the end of The Age (Matthew 28:20), that NOTHING can separate us from His Love in Christ (Romans 8) no matter what is happening in our lives, either inside the emotions of our hearts, or in the emptiness our circumstances all around us, Jesus becomes The Courage we need to face the hard road that lies before us. And we find out in the end that Jesus actually IS The Road, The Path, The Way (John 14:6), into which our Father is leading us, holding our hand, every next step we take. Will you take another step with me today and our Father, down The Path Who is His Beloved Son Jesus, by The Power of The Holy Spirit? Let God take you by the hand. Take my hand too. We will walk together.
God, Father, Abba, thank You for giving us Your Spirit so that we can see Jesus, who is Your Goodness, our Strength, our Courage, and our Path. Please take us by the hand and lead us, for we are weary and burdened in our grief over losing our friend and brother, Knap. Help us now to learn to wait for You, daily, hourly, minute-by-minute, as we walk down this Path of Life together. Thank You that we do not grieve as those who have no Hope, but as those who have Hope, because we have Jesus, who IS our Hope. In Your Most Powerful Name, Amen.
