Remain in Me, September 8, 2017

by Chuck Hetzler

“Remain in me, as I also remain in you.”  John 15:4

What is our focus as Jesus’ followers? What does He want us to do? How do we know if we’re living our lives pleasing to Him? Our focus needs to be on Jesus Himself. Our personal relationship with Jesus is the starting place for a disciple. Our conduct is important. Our words are important. Following God’s commands is important. But remaining in Him in a personal way is of primary importance.

Dear Lord, I choose to give You my time and sincere devotion as my first priority. Amen.
