Thursday, March 14th is the Congo’s day to help pack food bags for Kidzpacks. We will meet at 5pm at Madison School in the gym. If you haven’t had the opportunity to join us in the past, please feel free to join us! We have a good time and many hands make light work. Some of our “regulars” have escaped our winter weather for warmer landscapes! Contact Sharon Troup by calling or texting 217-242-4858 if you will be joining us next week. If we have several volunteers, we are finishing in an hour or less! One week a church sent 40 volunteers and we finished in a record 25 minutes! Thank you for considering spending your time in this way.
For those wanting to help fill our Kidzpacks food pantry, I am asking for macaroni and cheese this month. There are two kinds of microwavable mac and cheese; one comes in a 4 pack of cups where you just add water, another is a box of individual packets that need to be put in a bowl to add water to. Either one of those are fine. Boxes of mac and cheese are also welcome if you find a deal on those. You can place items in the green tote under the coat rack near the bathrooms at church or bring them to Madison when we pack bags.
As always, if you have any questions or thoughts please contact Jessica Dedert at 217-440-9634 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for your service to those in need.
