By Grace through Faith, April 26, 2018

by Chuck Hetzler

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God–not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

Our good works cannot earn us forgiveness of sins or eternal salvation. Salvation is by grace, which means that it is God’s gift to us. We can’t achieve salvation; we can only receive it.  We receive it through faith — believing that Jesus is God’s Son and the crucified and risen Messiah. Even our faith is ultimately a gift that God gives us by the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives.

Dear Father, All praise to You for Your grace from beginning to end!
